Finally, NCS is blogging! Blogging should come easy for me, as I do have the gift of gab (I am sure those who know me are laughing). I love the process of communication both verbally and nonverbally. Translation, one of the services we offer, is just an extension of communication with the added dimension of culture. You can ask anyone at NCS and they will tell you that I strive for us to communicate effectively with our customers, and especially internally amongst ourselves. I find that often when companies fail, it is a result of communication.
So, what do we hope to communicate? Client concerns, case studies, theories, and philosophies as it applies to culture awareness, translation, and new technologies in the localization industry, globalization, and multi-lingual website development. We will not shy away from sensitive LSP or translator topics. Then there will be education material as it relates to specific cultures and languages. I hope we can present this all in an easy to read, light hearted style and add a touch of humor as well.
If at anytime you would like a particular subject discussed, please feel free to contact us and we can blog about it.
For this first blog, I would like to announce that for the first time since 1992 and the start of the company, I am the sole owner making NCS 100% woman owned. I am excited, proud of my employees who have helped me in this endeavor. There were many changes over the last 6 months, and there will be many more going into 2010. Stay tuned!
